ACER launches its Annual Conference 2015: An Energy Union for Consumers
ACER Infoflash 7 May 2015

ACER invites you to register for its IV Annual Conference, which will focus on how to achieve ‘An Energy Union for Consumers”. The event will take place at the Brdo Congress Centre near Kranj, Slovenia, on Thursday, 9th July 2015.

Following the publication of the European Commission’s Energy Union strategy, the ACER Annual Conference will aim at identifying the benefits that this strategy will be able to deliver to EU energy consumers. Both European Commission Vice-President for the Energy Union Maroš Šefčovič and Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy Miguel Angel Arias Cañete have confirmed their presence at the Conference.

Following the welcome addresses on behalf of the Host Country, the European Parliament and the Luxembourgish Presidency of the Council of the EU, the Conference will be structured in three sessions focusing on how the Energy Union can ensure a new deal for consumers, how it can contribute to the integration of wholesale markets, as well as on the role of ACER within the Energy Union framework.

Per il 2015, il Festival dell’Energia sceglie di continuare la sua
collaborazione con Milano, sede dell’Expo, città in trasformazione,
cantiere di innovazione urbana e smart. Una collaborazione che nasce
dalla constatazione dell’esigenza di una riflessione comune che abbracci
un ampio spettro di temi tra loro interconnessi. Per queste ragioni, la
cornice scelta per questa edizione del Festival dell’Energia, Energia per il pianeta terra, riprende il tema centrale di EXPO 2015, sottolineandone un’accezione diversa.

Il Festival dell’Energia, inoltre, è inserito nel ricco calendario di eventi Expo in città.

All’interno di questa cornice, Energia per il pianeta terra,
l’ottava edizione del Festival propone un palinsesto di incontri e
dibattiti – articolato nei consolidati format della tavola rotonda e del
workshop e in quelli più partecipativi dei laboratori aperti e degli
happening – per indagare le profonde trasformazioni che il mondo
dell’energia sta attraversando.

Che si guardi alle fonti fossili o a quelle rinnovabili; che si
affronti il tema dal punto di vista geopolitico o tecnologico: quello
che abbiamo sotto gli occhi è uno scenario in rapida evoluzione.
Governare questa trasformazione imprimendole una direzione chiara e
condivisa, nel solco dello sviluppo sostenibile, dal punto di vista
ambientale, economico e sociale, è ciò che sono chiamati a fare

Festival si fa carico con questa edizione, nella direzione di quanto
fin dalla prima edizione promosso: la creazione di una cultura diffusa,
